Legislature schedules public hearing on nursing home aid plan
The legislature sets a public hearing next month on a plan to fund non profit nursing home construction. The bill, proposed by the State Health Department, would substitute nursing homes for chronic disease hospitals. The prior version, rejected by the General Assembly, would cap state outlays at 1.5 million dollars over five years and add 500 beds with federal funds. Del Margart Schweinhaut chairs the carnival (implied).
