Negro Lynched Near St George After Attempted Break-In
A mob near St George Dorchester county captured Willie Spain a 21 year old Black man after he allegedly attempted to enter Dorchester Lumber Company owner Conrad's home. Spain was taken to the sheriff jailed then killed with bullets as a crowd demanded the jail keys. A second incident describes May Vander slice a 14 year old girl defending her Chinese baby from police at 1201 Federal Street.
