PLO Pullout Advances as Beirut Evacuation Continues

Lake Linganore suit settled out of court
An out of court agreement ends the 36000 dollar suit filed by Chapman & Associates against the Lake Linganore Association. The two day jury trial was canceled in Frederick County Circuit Court. Details of the settlement were not disclosed. The case grew from non payment for a study on roads and utilities by Timothy Crosby of Hagerstown. Crosby presented his report to county commissioners, who did not pay for the services. The suit followed negotiations that broke down prior to settlement on Saturday afternoon. Frederick County commissioners were summoned to testify about Crosby’s Sept 29, 1981 presentation on a proposed debt for completing the Linganore streets and utilities, a debt the county eventually declined and then assumed control of the utilities.
