Magistrate Wilbur F Sheffield called the incident one of the most flagrant drunken driving cases. Robert Thomas Dutrow of 900 North Market Street was fined 150 dollars and sentenced to 60 days in jail after driving a Frederick Walkersville Carnival shuttle July 4. Trooper Basore testified Dutrow had been drinking and Deputy Sheriff Haugh cautioned him not to drive. Passengers testified Dutrow appeared normal. State's Attorney Price prosecuted. James McSherry and W Jerome Offutt defended Dutrow.

Montgomery Firemen Meet September 22
The twenty first annual Montgomery County Volunteer Firemen's Association convention will be held in Damascus on Saturday September 22. The general committee chaired by Marburg Gates of Rockville includes members from five county companies. More than $500 in prize money will be awarded at the parade with classifications to be announced. Invitations go to adjoining Maryland counties to join the parade. A banquet will follow at Damascus High School and the memorial service will be held that evening at the Damascus firehouse. Members from list of Montgomery communities are invited participants.

OPS Opens Frederick Office To Aid OPS Issues
