Cincinnati man John Bowshelm nearly lost his life while diving for false upper teeth knocked out by a breaker at North Carolina avenue in Atlantic City. He was unconscious on shore, treated over an hour, and regained speech asking for his missing molars.
A historical ad claims dandruff germs infest scalp hair loss and baldness, promoting Herpseide as a safe, pleasant hair dressing and dandruff cure. It promises growth stimulation and air to the scalp, with sample requests and Detroit based The Herpicide Co. and a spaotal agent.
New Orleans reports a rapid spread of yellow fever with sixty nine cases in Leaville and widespread household infections. The official Tuesday night tally shows new cases and ongoing treatment while authorities plan containment. Delegates to the American Federation also named. A separate report notes eight men fell forty feet at Ameriqun Radiator plant. one killed, others injured.
At a Chicago meeting the Typotherae decided unanimously not to contract on the eight hour basis. A strike in job offices or printers represented by the association is expected, potentially throwing 408 or more workers from work across the job printing trades if the dispute spreads to em ployees in other branches.

Manila reports a case where leprosy appeared cured after X rays and the patient died from a liver complaint with no leprosy traces found on microscopic exam. Dr H B Wilkinson, Virginia 1894 graduate, treated the patient. Separate items note a New York woman shot on Chicago street and other society notices.
The steamer Athos reached New York 17 days late with eight passengers and a banana cargo. Engine breakdowns, drifting, and near-famine marked the voyage from Port Antonio to New York. Passengers included John Douglas Donald and Miss Julie Anns Damehee, hosted by Donald Steamship Co president John A. Donald.
