Bond Taken In Crieut Court On Alcohol Sale Charge

James E Stokes Hartimore released on $500 bond with conditions to appear at the September term to answer possession of alcoholic beverage for sale without a license. Stokes indicted in May and arrested Saturday in Baltimore. Bond furnished by Harry Hewitt and Mary Hewitt. Thurment.

Maryland Milk Control Board Restrained by Court

Baltimore August 22 The Maryland Milk Control Commission was barred by Judge Samuel K Dennis from levying taxes on milk or issuing licenses. The injunction names the commission and related parties including Maryland Cooperative Milk Producers Inc Maryland Dairymen Association and three producers Frank Lupo Sparks B W Amoss Fallston and George B Relly Gienwood. The suit attacks the 1935 law establishing the commission citing lack of emergency and questions on tax powers and office creation.

Year-Old Case Tried In Peoples Court Here

A one day jail term was begun for George Miles Toytown after a year-old accident when a rack on his vehicle stuck the rear fender of a car driven by George A Pearce. The incident occurred September 1, 1934 near Furnace Ford. Toytown failed to report the accident or pay damages, and a warrant for reckless driving was issued. Justice Walter B. Linn suspended the $1 fine and condemned payment of $1490 costs as he could not pay. the jail term noted, and Deputy Sheriff John E. Crum served the warrant.
