Overholtzer Returns From Six Month Western Pacific Deployment
Petty Officer First Class Phil S. Overholtzer of New Windsor has returned to Long Beach California after a six month Western Pacific deployment. His ship served as PIRAZ control ship in the Gulf of Tonkin and conducted search and rescue missions in the Taiwan Straits. He visited Subic Bay Perth Australia and Hawaii during the cruise and is a 1964 Mount Airy High School graduate.
