Scaffold collapses killing one injuring two in Pittsburgh

700 KILLED IN BATTLE AT BURZ NORTHERN NIGERIA OFFICIAL REPORT
London dispatch reports a British force of 500 blacks and 3¢ whites attacked Burz in Northern Nigeria on July 27. After house to house fighting the town was destroyed. The enemy suffered 790 killed. British losses were one officer and 1¢ men killed, along with two officers and 69 men wounded. Among the enemy dead were the former Sultan of Sokoto and most of his chiefs.
