Urbana rezoning rejected. Windsor Knolls plan blocked
Frederick County Planning Commission denied a request to rezone 45 acres from agriculture to residential for 30 plus homes in Windsor Knolls near Urbana while approving a plan for a 120 unit retirement community in Thurmont. The commission rejected the 45 acre rezoning after residents cited traffic and water plant capacity concerns and district staff recommendations. The final decision rests with the Frederick County Commissioners likely in October.
