Mayor sees B&O station as community center preservation
Mayor Ronald Young announced the B and O Station will be bought with a 65000 grant from the Maryland Historical Trust to serve as a community center and preserve the site as a historic landmark. He noted the center mainly serves the black community and will likely retain a similar function while planning future use with interested residents. Construction of a downtown two story postal facility is hoped to begin by next spring.
