Our Town History of Myersville on Sale Aug Six
Beginning August sixteenth a yellow backed 146 page history of Myersville can be bought for five dollars. Half the book is Ira C. Moser’s lyrical account of Myersville’s beginnings up to 1905, the other half by Thomas Rose and Charles S. Martin up to 1971. The piece praises Moser’s chapters, notes flaws in the Rose and Martin portion, and mentions poems by John M. Grossnickle and local anecdotes, including the 1919 fire and diphtheria fears, with proceeds benefiting the Myersville Volunteer Fire Company. Copies are available at multiple local shops and libraries, or by mail for five dollars and twenty five cents.
