Hagerstown Building Destroyed By Fire
Fire swept the Maryland Pipe and Metal Co. three story brick building in Hagerstown causing heavy losses of scrap, hardware and structural metal. Owner Harry Kerstein said losses are insured and all office records were saved. A separate infant fire incident in the Gettel home left a 14 month old dead and parents hospitalized with burns. Authorities investigate likely cause.
