Teitelbaum proposes plan to aid small businesses
Montgomery County Democratic candidate Leonard Teitelbaum unveiled a program to help startups by offering cheaper office space in closed elementary schools for up to three years. Rent would be 2.25 dollars per square foot plus utilities, with as many as 30 spaces per building and senior citizen counseling included. The plan mirrors a successful high tech project at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and targets new computer programming, electronic assembly, distributors, and tradespeople.
