Nurse accused of murdering four patients in Baltimore
Mary Rose Robacinski 24 of Pasadena faces a preliminary hearing Sept. 6 on four murder charges linked to patient deaths at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore. Indicted by a Baltimore grand jury after a four month probe, her case involves four elderly patients in the ICU between December 26 and March 8. The state attorney declined to discuss mercy killings as a charge, saying the crime is murder. Robacinski surrendered and has not worked in health care since March 8. Autopsy confirmed one victim’s death after exhumation recently. Her attorney is George Helinski. Plea negotiations were not planned at this time.

Rape convict given four life terms plus 100 years
A Carlisle man, White Jr, received four consecutive life sentences plus 100 years after being found guilty of rape and 12 other crimes in Garrett County. Judge Corderman said the defendant should not be eligible for parole and noted Maryland’s lack of the death penalty for rape. An autopsy was planned for an unrelated child death at Oregon Ridge.

Carling National Rebuffs Merger Talks With Heileman's Firm
