Beall backs Nixon program as aid for Maryland economy
Sen. Glenn Beall Jr. endorsed President Nixon's economic plan praising its bold, coordinated approach. He backed no wage and price control board, supported possible exemptions for municipal workers, and predicted broad federal guidelines after the 90 day freeze. Beall welcomed disaster relief funds for Maryland floods, noting rent aid and food stamps for the homeless and federal help for storm cleanup and school repairs. He said Agnew would not be dumped from the ticket and opposed such a move.
