In Dunmore on Cooney Street a town dustup between four men over Angeline Mecca led to a street duel. Three were hit by stray bullets while Angeline and 11 year old Charles Mecca were among the injured. Peter and Joseph Madore and Peter Brash with Raphael Valore were involved. Walker was seriously wounded.
Governor John Tener canvasses the Coatesville outrage with state police and district attorney to arrest those involved. He pledges state help, with 200 trained officers and potential militia if needed, as warrants are pursued and hearings set. Arrests of prominent locals expected within 24 hours.

Washington reports the final conference on the farmers free list bill was approved by both the house and senate. The measure now goes to President Taft, who is expected to veto it. The act would add about 190 farm-related articles to the free list, with corn removed from free list provisions and meat and grain allowed free import only from nations with reciprocal trade pacts.
