Liberty Band played in the grove, and plans announced for an August 23 gathering. Regional race results and horse racing notes from Chicago, Saratoga, and Hawthorne collected. Pittsburgh? Rev Samuel Kramer once of Baltimore died at his Washington residence at 86. Lisrery Aug 12 Laborers digging for a building foundation unearthed a large stone ax a mile stone marking distances to Philadelphia and to Pittsburgh eight Indian arrow beads a breast armor sapped English manufacture and other items including dolls beads and trinkets. Authorities and local firms connected with the excavation and subsequent events are noted, with references to a Baker H. and several associations in Boston and New York.
