TRIM files 16 000 signatures to place tax ballot plan
The Committee for Tax Relief in Montgomery TRIM reports surpassing the 15 000 signature goal for a November ballot proposal to cut real property tax from 2.00 to 0.75 per hundred and require a council emergency hearing and six of seven votes before any new or raised tax. Chairman Karl Schlotterbeck announced at a August 10 tax summit with attendees including Paul Gann and Helen Hillstrom.
