House Votes 2 A Day Mail Deliveries
Washington August 16 A bill to cancel a post office economy order and restore two deliveries a day passed the House 264 to 108. It nullifies Postmaster General Donaldson’s order reducing city deliveries to one daily and cutting services. Senate action and a possible presidential veto loom as Congress debates saving money versus service.
