Supreme Court rulings spark calls to curb court powers
The piece argues that recent Supreme Court decisions undermine U S security by exposing FBI confidences to Communist scrutiny and hindering police. it cites Justice Clark and J Edgar Hoover plus concerns over the Mallory and Jencks rulings and a proposed bill to curb appellate reach and limit review of subversion cases. It frames the issue as a Cold War tension inside the court and Congress.
