Auto and Train Crash Kills Two Soon to Wed Couple
Rutland Wisconsin August 15 Deputy police official Harrels Lindsley and Evelyn Will of Chicago were killed when their touring car from Manchester Vermont to Williamstown Massachusetts was struck by a train at a crossing near Bennington Vermont. The car was destroyed by fire and the locomotive derailed, with 15 passengers escaping injury. Miss Willing, about 28, granddaughter of former Governor Mark Skinner, and Mr. Lindsley were to be married next week. Ambrose Cramer and J Adamson survived injuries. Cramer, the nephew of Miss Willing, and the chauffeur were treated at Bennington hospital. Engineer William Sibley and Fireman William Mangan were uninjured.
