Fifth Free Band Concert Draws Largest Crowd
The Yellow Springs Band delivered a stronger performance in their fifth free concert, attracting the largest crowd since the series began. Weather improved, earlier lighting issues were resolved, and the setlist featured Faust selections and a strong Berlin piece though the baritone sometimes overwhelmed by louder instruments. The concert ran six numbers, one dropped due to a late start, with two popular tunes pleasing the audience despite the tempo. Next show is Thursday, the sixth of the season, originally planned for eight. Mayor Horine of Brunswick is reviewing the general electric franchise and plans a council meeting soon.
