Killer of policeman closer to release
An Anne Arundel County judge refused to dismiss a suit seeking parole for Terrence Johnson after parole was granted on condition of a 90 day work release. Johnson, 31, has served 16 years of a 26 year sentence for the 1978 killing of a Prince George's County officer. He faces release Feb 2 if he completes the program. The case centers on parole denial and timing, with officials arranging a work release via his former attorney. Johnson is described as a model prisoner with a high school diploma and a Morgan State degree. The suit remains pending until his release.
