Volunteers Clean Carroll Creek in Stream Cleanup Kickoff
Frederick residents joined 40 volunteers for a daylong workshop sponsored by Maryland Save Our Streams and the Monocacy River Cleanup Campaign. The group collected trash along Carroll Creek from U S 15 to South Market Street and at Baker Park, finding more than 100 bags of debris including cans, shopping carts, a cinderblock, and even a beer bottle and corn on the cob.
