Howard County Without A Police Chief
A circuit court ruling leaves Howard County without a police chief as commissioners face a possible new law to authorize chief appointment. The issue stems from a Democratic faction on the Board of County Commissioners led by Charles M. Scott, which fired Chief E Russell Moxley. Police Lt Harry Harrison had served as acting chief. his future depends on whether the commissioners pass a law enabling a chief appointment.
