Harvester Trust Must Dissolve
The United States Supreme Court in a majority ruling orders International Harvester to dissolve as a Sherman Act monopoly within ninety days unless a plan for breaking into at least three independent firms is submitted. Judge Sanborn dissents. The decision cites control of 80 to 85 percent of agricultural implement trade but criticizes two practices by the company.
