Mexico to End Quickie Divorce Mills on Border
Mexico City AP President Gustavo Diaz Ordaz plans to shut down fast divorce mills for foreigners at the Mexican U S border. He says they contradict the respect Mexicans owe the family as an institution per the Interior Ministry. The current law requires a three month waiting period for nationals and foreign residents, while foreigners can obtain uncontested annulments or divorces in a day.

County Recreation Centers Provide Fun For Youths
The county runs nine recreation centers headed by Roy Comer of the Board of Education. Each site has a qualified teacher and two aides, offering games arts and crafts and quiet activities. Sites operate morning and afternoon sessions with Wayne Tucker as director. A Middletown teen center hosts activities with about 25 boys and 25 girls. The Jefferson site features dodgeball and teen help for activities, while Walkersville and Brunswick sites note distinct programs and transportation. The county program now in its second year uses a $12,000 budget from last year to support leagues and adult teams.
