Britain to join US in push to revive nuclear test ban talks
Britain plans to join the United States in a make or break effort to restart negotiations with the Soviet Union on banning nuclear weapon tests. Ambassador designate David Ormsby-Gore will accompany Arthur H. Dean to Geneva on August 24 for talks with the Russians as part of a united front. The move aims to show the United Nations that Washington alone cannot push progress.
