Cyclist hurt and train hits car on weekend mishaps
A 33 year old Frederick motorcyclist is listed in stable condition after an accident on Shookstown Road. He sustained a fractured wrist and head injuries and was treated at multiple facilities. Charges are pending. Also a West Virginia man jumped clear as a train struck his car at Knoxville crossing. He was charged with negligent driving.

Six Injured In Potomac Boat Fire In Washington
A Landover Maryland family suffered six injuries when their 23 foot wooden motorboat burst into flames on the Potomac River between Hains Point and the 11th Street Bridge. Two family members Alva McPhearson 39 and Carla 16 were in serious condition with burns on about 20 percent of their bodies. Four McPhearson children were treated and released. The fire occurred soon after refueling at a marina.
