Covered Bridge Model On Display At National Museum Of Civil War Medicine
A scale model of Loy's Station Covered Bridge built from salvaged timbers, created by Dennis DaSilva and Paul Barbet, is exhibited in Frederick's National Museum of Civil War Medicine. The two-year, six-month effort features hand made bolts and cedar shakes, reflecting local history of Civil War bridges used by the 11th Corps and hospitals, per FCCBPS and museum officials.
