Monrovia Man Dies In Crash
A 23 year old Monrovia man Irvin Leroy Linton died in a single car crash on Md 80 three fourths of a mile east of Md 75 at 6 p m Sunday. He died from a fractured skull and internal injuries after his 1968 sedan ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole. Police said excessive speed was the probable cause and that Linton was not wearing a seat belt. The vehicle was a total loss. Tpr. C Wayne Tucker investigated. Linton is the third Frederick County death in the period.

Tractor Rescued Itself From Burning Barn Incident
In Franklin Kentucky a tractor backed through a closed barn door to escape flames after a wiring short in the barn owned by Susie Taylor triggered the starter. The gear shift was in reverse, the tractor exited and stopped at a post. The barn burned down with only minor tractor damage.
