Solution Stops Tooth Decay In Children
Boston August-Folr Texas dentists report a chemical solution that they say makes children almost immune to tooth decay and is claimed to be one and a half times more effective than sodium fluoride. Dr. Bernard Gottlieb of Baylor University Dallas led the exposition and cited 96 percent immunity in limited child trials over five years. The solution, described as zinc chloride and potassium ferrocyanide, would require three treatments yearly as soon as permanent teeth begin to form, and is said to seal tiny streaks in teeth that allow bacteria to enter and cause decay.
