Two West Virginia boys drawn in Potomac tragedy
In Sandy Hook, two West Virginia youths Russell Woodward of Martinsburg and John Boxers of Charles Town disappeared while fishing on the Potomac near Harpers Ferry. Their bodies were recovered Sunday by state police divers. Phillip Bowers, 39, of Charles Town had joined them for the trip. Autopsies planned.

Atkins gets 10 year term in fatal shooting
Hugh Atkins, 38, was sentenced to ten years by Circuit Court Judge Samuel W. Barrick for the April 10 shooting death of Larry Dale Moore of Gaithersburg. Atkins pleaded guilty to second degree murder and faced a possible 15 year maximum after plea bargaining. Moore died two days after the Easter Sunday shooting at Atkins' home.
