Jersey law not apply to bird plumage on hats
Assistant Attorney General Nelson B. Gashill says the anti Plumage act in New Jersey applies only to killing wild birds and selling plumage for sale. Women wearing aigrettes or decoratives made from bird plumage will not be forced to abandon them to avoid penalties, though sale of such plumage may be curtailed.
