Bond Issue for Streets Passes by Wide Margin
A $30,000 street bond issue was approved by voters in multiple wards with a majority of 223. Turnout was light as ward results show only 303 votes cast on the bond question versus 579 for council seats. Mayor Jacl Murray and councilmen David Hiser Robert Urrison and James F. Mice were named. Separate voting details per ward list counts for and against the bond and the overall quiet campaign atmosphere. In other news, former GOP chair Hays travels west to Culver, Indiana to visit his son at a camp.
