Two thousand volunteer policemen are expected to curb a new round of rioting in Denver after a night of car attacks that left three dead, 34 injured, and millions in damages. The rioting eased only after midnight, with eight streetcars damaged and the Denver Post office partially demolished. officials declined to summon federal troops.
The Associated Press report from Nashville on August 6 states Roberts, a Democrat, is renominated for Governor by a margin of about 20,000 to 25,000 over Crabtree.
