Remarkable Owl Captured by Farm on Friday Eve
Mr John Ricketts, a farmer near the city, captured a remarkable owl after it became snagged on a fishing line and heavy sinker. The bird was brought to Fredericksburg, where crowds viewed it at Knoff store. A neighboring report recalls a decade-old episode when a large net yielded a squirrel and fish, suggesting a tree overhang may drop creatures into the river.
