Elm Tree Fire and Ownership Saga in New Wind Sor
An elm tree on the farm of A. Balle in New Wind sor, centuries old, was struck by lightning on May 5 and later caught fire from a hollow limb filled with honey. The fire burned slowly for weeks, caused limb falls, and was extinguished by rain. Judge Isaac C. Balle bought the damaged tree to save it. Also, Charles Kohizoss filed for divorce in Rocky Mount Court.

Fashion and Charity Clash Over Dress Costs in Churches
