Br. D. H. Steiner of this city Misa Blessing of Buckeystown and Mr and Mrs Morris Heats of Allentown Pa left this morning in a Zacharias coach for a several days drive through Washington county.
A knife broke yesterday afternoon in the hickory lathe at the spoke works. Mr. Ran Waltz was operating the lathe when the accident occurred, narrowly escaping injury.
The Weeks house on South Main Street in Paxton burned down yesterday with about thirty five guests and boarders inside. Rev. Mr. Williams, a retired Congregational minister who had boarded there for a month, was found burned to death at the front entrance. Loss estimated around thirty thousand dollars.
