Fire marshal detonates suspicious Greencastle package
A 1 by 1.5 foot brown wrapped package with excessive postage was blown up Thursday at the Greencastle post office on East Patrick Street. Deputy State Fire Marshal Ted Meminger led bomb squad action using a remote controlled robot with a water jet as traffic halted briefly. Post office investigators will pursue a follow up.

Delaplaine Arts Center to gain two story addition in Frederick
Frederick's Historic District Commission heard an update on plans from A Kelso of Richter Balti more for an 8000 square foot addition and a 12000 square foot renovation to the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center on South Carroll Street.
