Centenarian conquers Mount Fuji in record ascent
Teiichi Igarashi age 100 becomes the first centenarian to reach Japan's 12,385 foot Fuji summit after a three day climb aided by his daughter and friends. He did not wear shoes, ate raw eggs during rests, and began the ascent in memory of his late wife Ura.
