Carroll County parents draft plan on asbestos in schools
Southern Carroll County parents meeting at Mount Airy Middle School crafted an eight point plan to address asbestos issues in schools. Carroll County Board of Education vice president Elizabeth Gehr praised the effort and said some recommendations would be put in place before the September 4 start of school. The group Concerned Carroll Parents Against Asbestos, from Sykesville and Mount Airy, urged broad parent attendance at the August 8 board meeting.
