Emmitsburg seeks new zoning administrator again
Emmitsburg officials continue to seek a new zoning administrator to replace Samuel K. Jones who will step down in two and a half months but stay on as consultant. Jones proposed options including a local volunteer, county planning and zoning handling the duties, or hiring a town administrator who would also serve as secretary of the Board of Zoning Appeals. The board plans to name potential candidates soon and discussed related issues such as building permits, zoning ordinance copies, street light complaints, water conservation, and speeding through alleys with potential speed bumps.
