A proposal to move the city transient center to a new site is under consideration. Officials weigh options and potential impacts on operations and neighbor concerns.
A conference at City Hall with Mayor Culler, Dr. B. O. Thomas, and Sam W. Maples reviewed relocating the Transient Bureau from 19 No. Court St. to the J. Calvin Hall farm near Middletown as a better site for offices and recreation. Baltimore officials inspected local quarters and supported expansion to accommodate more space and activities.
The case of Olive Ebaugh Ehrhant, former faculty member of Hampstad Mary Eats the Board of Education for Carrot County, has been removed from the docket and transferred to the Court for Freuciee County for trial.

Acting Secretary of War Woodring told New Orleans official Walmsley the War Department will likely take no action in the feud between Walmsley and Huey Long factions. In response to Long militia challenges, Mayor Walmsley ordered 500 more police to duty, boosting force to 1,400 with riot gear. Ride orders and extended shifts marked unprecedented mobilization in fifteen years.
Tulsa reports Jim Clark the 30 year old Kansas habitual criminal headed back to Lansing prison after being captured at a city apartment while traveling with two women Sally 34 and Goldie Johnson 19. Clark had escaped Kansas prison twice in the past fourteen months and was involved in the Memorial Day 1933 breakout that ended with hostages and a warden release.
The Churches of God in Maryland and Virginia begin their annual Bible School and Missionary Convention in Littlestown Washington county with Rev. F P Snavely of Hagerstown delivering the opening sermon. Sessions include addresses and conferences for all ages, a camp fire for youth, and plans for the first eastern youth training camp August 5 to 13 at Biglersville. Speakers include C W Fink and several Rev J H Gonso Rev W A Herpich and others. Conference Kadets and local youths will attend. Edgar F McClain of Blue Ridge Summit has been elected cashier of First National Bank of Bur Ridge Summit to fill the vacancy caused by Frank R Martin’s death. Harold J Birley named assistant cashier and secretary of the board of directors.

The famed world record bull Rolo Payne died at age 13 on the Wertheimer farm near Frederick after a long home life since being purchased in Lexington, Kentucky. His dam Rolo Mereena DeKol held a seven day world butter record, and his sire Ming Pontiac Hangfrie'd Payne remained a top Holstein. Rolo’s progeny across Maryland and neighboring states produced notable milk and butter yields, with one daughter holding Maryland’s milk and butter records.
Miss Hellen Ramsburgh Mathers will wed Dr. Howard Greenwood Taylor at 4 pm in Frederick. The ceremony, by Rev. Dr. Heorl L. G. Kieffer, features palm decor and candles, with family and local residents attending.

A truck loaded with feed operated by C Hayes Lamar between Licksville and Point of Rocks caught fire at about 3 00 am. Backfire from the motor started the blaze, the cab separated from the truck, and six bags of feed were destroyed before Independent Hose Company arrived and extinguished the fire.
