Railroad Rate Law Conference With Interstate Commission
Washington August 1 an informal conference between the Interstate Commerce Commission and representatives of the Western Trunk Line Association and southern and southeastern railroads discussed the new railroad rate law. Penn RR Cuts One Way Fares Across Lines
The Pennsylvania Railroad announced fare reductions effective as of about November 1 for maximum one way rates east of Pittsburgh and Erie from 3% and 3 cents per mile to 2.5 cents a mile, with new transferable 1000 mile tickets at $20 for travel east of Pittsburgh and Erie from Sept 1.
