Wreckage of WWII Liberator Found in Papua New Guinea
U S Army investigators report discovery of an 8 24 Liberator wreck at Mount Thumb near Port Moresby with remains of 19 Americans. AFS Chapter Fundraiser Set For May 3 In Frederick
The Frederick Branch of the American Field Service will host a sponsorship dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Monday May 3 at the Elks Club on Shooks Town Road. Tickets cost 20 each and include buffet dinner one drink and a chance to win 500. Tickets are limited to 250 and need not be present to win. Funds support the Frederick Americans Abroad Program and local foreign students, with past participants from Brazil France Italy and Turkey and current students from Peru Australia.
