Chamber Pushes Water Lines Into Clarksburg Plan
Ralph F. Martz of the Clarksburg Chamber of Commerce pushes a five year Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission plan to extend public water lines into Clarksburg. The route would connect to the Damascus Line and extend along Brink Road to Route 355 and Linthicum Road with possible branches toward Comus Road Stringtown Road and Boyds Clarksburg Road. Martz argues water and sewer are needed to unlock future development and cites substantial local investments awaiting service.

Clarksburg Seeks Water Line Toward Damascus and Germantown
Clarksburg Chamber President Martz states strong support for a water line into Clarksburg and toward the Fairchild Hiller plant near Germantown, with plans to extend along Maryland 27 to Damascus. He expects public sewer to follow, potentially via Ten Mile Creek and Great Seneca Creek routes. County officials note budget cuts of about 250000 from total requests while preserving a 2.14 tax rate.
