Holter Fined 250 After Fatal High School Wreck
John E. Holter a Frederick High School senior was found guilty of gross negligence manslaughter in the February 19 accident on U S 40 West of Frederick that killed Chester G Stone. He received a three year suspended sentence in the House of Correction and a 250 fine. The magistrate said statements by two other youths, Clifford Stiles and Joseph Smith, amounted to perjury and noted evidence including signatures and hospital statements. He recommended denial of Holter's license until age 21.
