Prussian Civil War Vet Osterhaus Honored in Washington
General Osterhaus, famed Prussian veteran of the Civil War, has arrived in Washington from Europe and will be hosted by former comrades. Representatives Bertholdt and McElroy, plus twelve veterans, met him at the railway station and escorted him to the New Willard Hotel. Elaborate entertainment including receptions and banquets is planned with figures such as Warner, Grosvenor, and Oliver attending, and he was received by President Roosevelt today.

Civil law above military judge refuses release in Drury case
In Pittsburgh on April 29 Judge Acheson dismissed the habeas corpus writ for Lieutenant KR W Drury and Private John Dowd in the shooting of William Crowley at the arsenal last September. US authorities plan a supersedal appeal to the Supreme Court as they remand the defendants to county custody after a court martial acquitted Drury and Dowd.

Hollis acquitted in shooting case on insanity verdict
Mrs Edith Hollis, who killed her husband in Delaware Hollis on November 11 1903 while he slept in his chair, was acquitted by a jury on the ground of insanity. She will be sent to the Faynhurst state insane hospital for confinement.
