Nation's Consumer Credit Outlined To Rotary Club
John B. Connelly of the Consumer Credit Bureau outlined national consumer credit, noting installments exceed half of total credit and the automobile leads purchases on credit. He traced credit from ancient Babylonians to 15th century Scotland and cited rising share of wages spent on credit since 1946. Rotarians and guests heard the talk during International Consumer Credit Week.
